Simatelex Manufactory Co., Ltd. was founded by Mr. Chi Sun Suen in 1969 as a sub-assembly factory in Hong Kong with an initial floor area of 1,000 square meters.

The Company was established on the principles of high quality, good value and meeting production schedule beyond expectation. These routes set the pattern for later roads to follow.

From the beginning to its surging popularity in maintaining its lead in the small electrical household appliances industry, Simatelex has encountered many strategic challenges - geographically, politically and economically. The production capacity has been expanded tremendously and the number of employees grew multi-fold in 70's.

To capitalize on the abundant labor resources in China, Simatelex was one of the first few companies that moved their manufacturing facilities northward soon after China adopted its open-door policy in late 1970's; and in mid 1980's the entire manufacturing operation was shifted to China.

To facilitate the continual growth & diversification of the Company, an electronics assembly plant and a Joint Venture plant with the famous Japan brand were established in the mid 1990's. The Company was also awarded with ISO9002 in this period.

Toward the end of the twentieth century, the Company successfully streamlined its operations via the re-structuring & re-location process, and was also awarded with the Certification of Qualification for the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) Client Test Data Program.
